OMAHA, Neb., Nov. 1, 2023 – Scooter’s Coffee, recognized as one of the fastest-growing franchise systems in the U.S., and best known for its amazingly fast drive-thru and specialty coffee, today announced that Joe Thornton will be appointed Chief Executive Officer of Scooter’s Coffee, effective January 1, 2024. Thornton currently serves as the company’s President and will succeed Todd Graeve, who will retire after serving as CEO since 2016 and after nearly two decades in the Scooter’s Coffee business.

While National Coffee Day is September 29, Scooter’s Coffee has been spreading the coffee love all month long by offering FREE delicious, fresh-brewed coffee to customers every day throughout September. Company Also Teams Up with Local Animal Shelters to Support Pet Adoptions
In celebration of the recent National Dog Day, Saturday, Aug. 26, drive-thru specialty coffee chain Scooter’s Coffee teamed up with local animal shelters to support pet adoption efforts, offered free Pumpkin Spice Pup Cups and other fun giveaways for canine friends, and held a search for its first-ever Dogfluencer.
Over the weekend, Scooter’s Coffee handed out more than 10,000 custom-branded ”Official Pup Cup Tester” dog bandanas featuring the company’s signature Smiley icon and served more than 11,000 Pup Cups (including seasonal Pumpkin Spice Pup Cups) to canine customers across the country.
In addition, Scooter’s Coffee partnered with animal shelters across its footprint to raise awareness of pet adoption through volunteer or donation initiatives. In Omaha, Neb., where Scooter’s Coffee is headquartered, the company partnered with the Nebraska Humane Society to fund adoption fees for dogs and cats, up to $5,000.

Scooter’s Coffee will be the new title sponsor of the Frisco Bowl college football bowl game, per a new multi-year agreement announced today in Frisco, Texas. Beginning with this year’s game, the official bowl name will be the Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl.
The 2023 Scooter’s Coffee Frisco Bowl will be played Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, and will be televised on ESPN. The participating teams will be announced in early December.
