Company Also Teams Up with Local Animal Shelters to Support Pet Adoptions

In celebration of the recent National Dog Day, Saturday, Aug. 26, drive-thru specialty coffee chain Scooter’s Coffee teamed up with local animal shelters to support pet adoption efforts, offered free Pumpkin Spice Pup Cups and other fun giveaways for canine friends, and held a search for its first-ever Dogfluencer.

Over the weekend, Scooter’s Coffee handed out more than 10,000 custom-branded ”Official Pup Cup Tester” dog bandanas featuring the company’s signature Smiley icon and served more than 11,000 Pup Cups (including seasonal Pumpkin Spice Pup Cups) to canine customers across the country.

In addition, Scooter’s Coffee partnered with animal shelters across its footprint to raise awareness of pet adoption through volunteer or donation initiatives. In Omaha, Neb., where Scooter’s Coffee is headquartered, the company partnered with the Nebraska Humane Society to fund adoption fees for dogs and cats, up to $5,000. Between Aug. 26-27, more than 30 dogs and cats at the Nebraska Humane Society found their new home.

“We thank all of our amazing customers who celebrated with us on National Dog Day by taking their pets to our Scooter’s Coffee locations to enjoy Pup Cups and participating in our Dogfluencer contest,” said Malorie Maddox, Scooter’s Coffee Chief Marketing Officer. “We know how much dogs mean to our customers, so we were honored to partner with animal shelters to raise awareness of the importance of pet adoptions and to help families provide pets a loving home.”

Chubs the Pug Dubbed the Dogfluencer Winner!

Approximately 3,000 Scooter’s Coffee valued customers entered their adorable dogs in the Dogfluencer contest. “Chubs,” a lovable pug from Lincoln, Neb., was voted the winner. Chubs will be featured on a Scooter’s Coffee billboard, and Chubs’ owner will receive an exclusive doggy bag of fun surprises and free coffee for a year, via a credit through the Scooter’s Coffee Mobile App.
